CONJUGATION [Unregelmäßige Verben] Part1
-
Different types of irregular verbs need to be conjugated in different ways. However, it is the same lines: "Conjugation does not need to be memorised. If you practise it often, the chances are it will be etched in your mind in no time. It is impossible for you to take it out and throw it away as rubbish." Just get used to it.
For Part 1 of the Conjugation von Unregelmäßige Verben, let us look at the conjugation for one of the two most commonly used verbs. These verbs are very important in Deutsch and are essential in almost everything, whether conversation, essay-writing, sentence structure, grammar, etc., concerning Deutsch. And the most unfortunate thing is that these two verbs are the most complicatedly conjugated irregular verbs.
Let's look at "sein" (to be; is).
ich (I) ---------- bin
du (you [singular;informal]) ---------- bist
er/es/sie (he/it/she) ---------- ist
wir (we) ---------- sind
ihr (you [plural;informal]) ---------- seid
sie/Sie (they/you [singular/plural;formal]) ---------- sind
To explain how complicated the conjugation for this verb is, it is that the conjugated verbs are almost nothing similar to the original verb sein.
Mach Spaß! (Have fun! [Literal: Do fun!])
Repeat after me!
"Deutschland ist ein sehr schönes Land."
