Leçon 4

Since French sentence structures are similar to those of English (those doesn't sound right here but who cares, we're learning French! Haha. Sorry), I shall proceed to teach you the conjugaison of the regular verbs.
Most verbs in French end with -er, but there are many that end with -re, -ir, as well. There are also the less common ones like être for example.
Today, we shall just touch on the present tense of the -er verbs. Examples include aimer, manger, regarder. We shall use manger.
Je (I)---------------------------mange
Tu (You)------------------------manges
Ils/Elles (They)-------------------mangent
Nous (We)-----------------------mangeons
Vous (Plural/Formal of 'you')--------mangeez
Il/Elle (He/She)-------------------mange
This rule applies to most -er verbs. There are exceptions of course, depending on the pronunciation or spelling of certain words. Please memorise this rule. That's all for today. Good day! (:
